Rothenbach Park in Sarasota provides a unique family experience for people who enjoy biking, roller-blading, jogging, walking & communing with nature while deer gallop around you.
You never know what you’ll experience at Rothenbach Park located off Bee Ridge in East Sarasota.
The other evening my family and I took bikes to Rothenbach. As we rounded the last curve on the paved 3.2 mile “all-purpose” path, there in front of us no farther than 200 feet stood 9 deer…just looking at us before galloping off.
For my kids, it was the prize at the end of a great bike ride.
It seems every time we go to Rothenbach Park, we see wildlife, whether deer, armadillo, raccoons, etc. The 3.2 mile path winds through monstrous moss-covered oak trees, offering a canopy for most of the circled path.
Very much appreciated on a hot, humid summer day.
