My kids, wife & I LOVE Bonnet Creek, the best Orlando resort with the best customer service!
In fact, of all the resorts we’ve visited throughout the US, Bonnet Creek keeps pulling us back – for 6 years now we stay there at least 1 (sometimes 2x) time a year.
Forget theme parks including Magic Kingdom, Universal, Sea World and others in the summer. If you know Florida and theme park misery in the summer, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
$90.00 theme park tickets = ouch!
Scorching heat and suffocating humidity = torture!
Long lines; long waits; heavy crowds; elbow room only = Advil.

Bonnet Creek Is Gorgeous Grounds
Bonnet Creek's manicured, beautiful grounds will please you!
You will not find a more gorgeous resort – stunning Mediterranean decor and manicured landscaping.
Follow the 1/2 mile winding sidewalk around the inside of the resort grounds, weaving in and out of swimming pools, putt-putt golf, playground, bar & grilling areas, sand volleyball & outside entertainment.
The sidewalk and boardwalk take you onto and around the large private lake with pleasing water fountain.
Bonnet Creek Is Classy, Convenient Living
Bonnet Creek's classy Mediterranean decor!
I LOVE Mediterranean decor. Each 1, 2 or 3 bedroom condo is full-service and exquisitely decorated with a relaxing balcony. At the top floor (15), you’ll find penthouse units. Unfortunately, my budget doesn’t afford the penthouse luxury.
One of these days, I’ll share photos with you from the penthouse.
No doubt, my family enjoys (and appreciates) the full kitchen including full-sized refrigerator, microwave, range, dishwasher & washer/dryer.
We prepare our own meals…no week-long fast food coma or budget-breaking restaurant tour for us. When you’re not enjoying the facilities or on/off-site entertainment, relax in your condo as if you were at home.
No “hotel” living at Bonnet Creek. No way. Instead, Bonnet Creek is 5-Star comfort and convenience with plenty of space for kids. If you have kids or grandkids, you know space is important.
Bonnet Creek Offers Great Recreation
RECREATION = RELAXATION
If you want to relax quietly in or out of your condo, that’s cool – and available. However, if you enjoy on-site activities, Bonnet Creek will please you as well.
Indeed, Bonnet Creek keeps adding amenities each time we visit – games, special events, arts & crafts and (pool) activities:
- 6 swimming pools – water slide pool, zero depth pools, toddler “mushroom” and “playground” pool, swimming pools. Bonnet Creek has it.
- 2 Lazy rivers – slide onto a tube, sit back & enjoy the relaxing ride on 1 of 2 lazy rivers.
- Hot tubs – every pool offers a soothing hot tub.
- Barbecue grilling area at each building – check out grilling tools at Activities Center.
- Activity Center – billiards, video games, PlayStation, puzzles, computers, chess, TV
- Putt-Putt golf course
- Fitness Room – for “hard-core” types who must exercise while on vacation.
- Child “Sitting” & activities available
- Playground
- Sand volleyball court
- Outdoor movie night w/ popcorn – HUGE outdoor movie screen. Loved Aladdin
- Family trivia night (playing against other families). We won pizza @ our last visit.
- Dueling pianos – great music.
- Karaoke – special kids’ and adult-only Karaoke times @ the outdoor bar and grills. AWESOME family fun!
- Arts & Crafts: ceramic painting, beach bag art, bear buddies, charm bracelets, color me animals, color time t’s and totes, knapsack art, sand art, tie-dye t-shirts, treasure box painting…and much more.
- Pool Activities: aquacise, hair wraps & air brush tatoos, pool party palooza, pool games, sparky race…and much more.
- Socials: face painting, ice cream sundaes & floats, lyric lockdown, magic mania, meringue dance, sandy candy, time warp trivia, tot dino dig…and much more.
Unexpected daily surprises include:
- Downtown Disney ~ just one short mile from Bonnet Creek surrounded by fast food/fine dining and shopping.
- Fireworks every night @Epcot & Magic Kingdom (hint: request a north facing room as high as you can get – 15 floors).
Bonnet Creek Scores A+ In Guest Services!
In my mind, the difference between okay and great resorts is guest services.
My family and I have stayed at many resorts throughout the US. Of all the resorts, Bonnet Creek’s guest services stands heads and shoulders above all the resorts at which we’ve stayed.
Let me take a second to share a recent incident during a week’s stay at Bonnet Creek. To my wife’s unexpected and very pleasant surprise, Bonnet Creek showed us A+ guest satisfaction!
I’m glad I’m able to report this first-hand experience to you, so you know what to expect should you encounter anything that jeopardizes your wonderful vacation.
Upon arrival, we (and all other guests) were invited to Bonnet Creek’s “Welcome Breakfast” the next morning, 8 AM – 9:30 AM. For 1/2 an hour the next morning, 5 different resort employees politely (but incorrectly) guided us to 5 different locations.
At 9:25 AM, I stopped at the front desk to share my disappointment with a supervisor. You see, it was my wife’s birthday. It was not about missing a “welcome” breakfast. It was about an unfortunate (that is, unnecessary) start to my wife’s birthday that disappointed me. Quickly, Alecia Palmer, Guest Services Supervisor, introduced herself and apologized profusely.
In an instant and without requesting, Alecia walked us to the La Cantina grille and instructed us to order as we pleased. She wished my wife a happy birthday and asked if she could do anything else to make up for the inconvenience.
…anything else? My gosh, we were shocked and very pleasantly surprised.
WOW!
But wait, Alecia wasn’t through yet.
We enjoyed breakfast at tables in the breezeway (very pleasant) and returned to our condo before heading to the pools. To our surprise, a knock at the door revealed a gift basket, balloons, bottle of wine and a HUGE smile on my wife’s face as my kids jumped with joy.
Talk about GUEST SERVICE….
WOW!
Along with the gifts, Alicia and staff very thoughtfully added what you see below:
Bonnet Creek Orlando Scores A+....
My wife's smile on her birthday said it all....
My wife and I never (ever) will forget Alecia Palmer’s generosity. Alecia is a credit and asset to Wyndham Bonnet Creek Orlando. You and I both know that Alecia went beyond great service. My wife and I are not VIPs but Alecia and Bonnet Creek made us feel as if we were VIPs.
Have you experienced Bonnet Creek? If so, please tell me what you like best about the resort. If you have any questions, please ask. After more than 10 stays, I do know a little something about Bonnet Creek’s resort. Yes, I’m aware this is a Sarasota real estate and Sarasota attractions blog. Believe it or not, we Sarasotans enjoy Orlando area attractions as well.

Bonnet Creek Orlando has made it possible for my wife, kids and me to create many happy memories through the years. Hands down, our recent visit has been our most memorable, thanks in part to Alecia and staff. No doubt, we will return. By the way, when I’m not vacationing & snapping memories, I want to help you buy or sell a house in or around Sarasota. Please call or email me if I can help you. Hopefully, I will provide you with A+ customer service as well.

I too am very budget-conscious…especially today. Of all the resorts at which we’ve stayed, we still look forward to staying at Wyndham’s Bonnet Creek. I hope they always maintain high regard for customers/owners. I really hope your husband and you enjoy the lazy river.
Mike

We are pretty seasoned travelers but its always nice to hear other peoples experiences of things we may not have thought of. We are especially looking for info on groceries in the area; something close by as we are not renting a car while on our visit from Canada.
We are owners at Bonnet Creek and will be staying there for a week this July for the first time. We are traveling with an infant and two 17yrs old girls (grad gift
